PERMANENT DISPLAYS OF BRANGWYN'S WORK

If your Gallery or Museum has a permanent display of Brangwyn's work please let us know!  We'd also appreciate information about any Brangwyns on temporary display.

Arents House, Dijver, Bruges

First floor of the museum which is open 9.30-17.00, closed Mondays, and the entry fee is 2.5 Euro or 8 Euro for a combined Groeningemuseum/Arenthuis ticket.  Information in the museum is now in four languages - Dutch, French, English and German.

St Andrei's Monastery at Zevenkerken, just outside Bruges, also has a stained glass window designed by Brangwyn in the Chapel of the Holy Cross.

Brangwyn Hall, The Guildhall, Swansea SA1 4PE

Brangwyn's famous British Empire murals originally intended for the Royal Gallery, Westminster.  Cartoons for the panels are also hung in the corridors of the Guildhall.  The Guildhall is open to the public.

Cardiff, National Museum of Wales, Cathays Park, Cardiff CF10 3NP.  Two of the preparatory panels for the Royal Gallery, Westminster, are placed in the main entrance hall.  They date from the time when the scheme represented WW1.

Leeds City Art Gallery, The Headrow, Leeds LS1 3AA

Main staircase and Sam Wilson Room (including the 1905 Venice Biennale panels).  Admission free.

Mildura Arts Centre, Victoria, Australia

A large cartoon for St Aidan's church, Leeds; a mural designed for the Ghent exhibition in 1913 entitled 'Steelworkers'; plus various other works.

Royal Exchange, corner of Cornhill and Threadneedle Street, City of London

Now a shopping mall but go to mezzanine floor and Brangwyn's mural is to the left of the main entrance, with Leighton's on the right and the good and great of the era distributed round the hall.

Royston & District Museum, Lower King Street, Royston SG8 5AL

Good selection of loan collection of ceramics upstairs including a set designed by Brangwyn for Clarice Cliff's Bizarre range in 1934.
